

Managing director

Harry Lomas graduated from Unisa University in 2003 with a BCom in Marketing, while working as a marketing coordinator at Conference Communications. In 2004 he followed his passion for financial services and joined Liberty Life as a financial planner.
In 2005 he was offered position at PSG Konsult as a broker and in 2006 transferred to SEESA Commercial where he gained invaluable experience in business assurance.
In 2007 and he moved to Cape Town where he was approached by Cameron and Prentice to start Lomas Financial Services.

Director

Chris Norris graduated from the University of Cape Town in 1987, he then spent his three training years at Ernst & Young during which he completed a Graduate Diploma in Accounting (1989). He was admitted to the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1992.
Between 1992 and 1995, Chris held the position of Senior Taxation Officer in the company assessing division at the South African Revenue Service. In 1995 he joined PricewaterhouseCoopers as a consultant in the taxation department, specialising in corporate tax and VAT.
In March 2003 Chris joined Cameron & Prentice as Partner, with specific responsibility for audit and taxation services.

Director

Antonie van der Hoek graduated from the University of Cape Town in 1988 and joined PricewaterhouseCoopers the following year. During his training at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Antonie studied honours through UNISA. He finished his articles in 1991 and was admitted to the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1993.
Shortly after, Antonie joined the South African Revenue Service and worked specifically in the income tax assessing division assessing partnerships and farming operations.
For the following five years Antonie worked as a Financial Manager in the printing and plastic industries until 1998, when he became a Partner at Cameron & Prentice.
Today, his strengths and attention are in audit.

Director

David Warneke, a true academic with entrepreneurial flair, graduated with an Honours degree in Financial Accounting from the University of Cape Town. He also boasts a Graduate Diploma in Taxation and a Masters degree in Tax Law.
After completion of his training contract, he opened his own practice in 1994. He joined Cameron & Prentice as Partner in 2007. His experience and expertise as a tax professional is of enormous value to the Cameron & Prentice team, staff and clients alike.
David continues to uphold his interests in academia. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Taxation at the University of Cape Town and co-author of a text on taxation that is prescribed at leading universities in South Africa.

Director

Peter Prentice is the solid foundation on which Cameron & Prentice is built. His long and respected career as a Chartered Accountant began in the early seventies.
He studied a Certificate in Theory of Accounting through WITS while being articled to a small Johannesburg accounting firm. He wrote his Board Exam in 1976 and registered with the Board in 1982.
In the years in between, Peter worked as a young accountant at Arthur Young & Company. He then spread his wings and gained valuable business knowledge as Financial Manager and General Manager for Spracklens, a Cape Town family department store.
In 1981, Peter joined the original firm member, Rod Cameron, at Cameron & Prentice, and was admitted as Partner in 1982.
Today, his experience and commitment to strong professional relationships is valued by members of staff and clients alike.
